Patent litigation often includes the presenting to the presiding judge from each party a technology tutorial. A technology tutorial should be non-argumentative and is used to explain the relevant technology. Sometimes a judge will only want a CD of the tutorials, other times a judge may also have each party orally present the tutorial in court and answer questions the judge may have regarding the technology.

Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RARP): What to Expect for Your Surgery?
Robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat clinically localized prostate cancer. Hydrodissection can be used in nerve-sparing surgeries; however, not all surgeons utilize this technique. Intended for a lay audience, this video aims to document this complex procedure in clear, accurate steps. The final animation was made in compliance with the requirements for fulfillment of the Master of Fine Arts degree in Medical Illustration at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Animation was made with ATLAS Studios at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as part of their Byte-Sized Research feature. All art assets made in Illustrator, and final animation composited in After Effects.
